   honesty & commitment in any relation is a must ...so is with the man-women relationship....without these two the bonding becomes frail or fragile and the concept of love is shattered!

   Hello iwriteforyou,
   
   In my opinion they want love, security and appreciation. Everything else is derived from these three basic needs.
   I was very lucky because with my current partner I feel confortable about who I am and I never feel as if I have to hide anything or put a show on.
   You look like a lovely guy yourself, I am sure you are doing the right thing to your georgous girlfriend :-)

   I will put this as simple as possible.  Security, both protection and finacial and the biggest is unconditional love.....don't change me but love me for who I really am, including the flaws!  There is nothing worse than taking on a relationship and thinking I can help that person change for the better.

   I would imagine women are like men in that there is no "universal" or "catch all" answer that would apply. Unfortunately there is no way to skip the process of getting to know someone on an individual basis. One man's opinion! :-)

   They want a man with identity and purpose which equals authenticity.  Not a man who's trying to figure how he can change to convince her to like him... that's NOT authentic.
